Polaroid, OneStep AF, Impossible Project 600 BW film. Western Canada
Selection of images taken in Western Canada while I was testing a pack of Impossible Project Black and White film. Rescanned 18 months after being taken. The images show general degradation, their colour has an tungsten tint and portions of some images have begun to crystallized. Their storage conditions have been near ideal; kept in a box at room temperature with a low humidity level. I heard that the first generation IP film faded quite badly but I was surprised to see this film transition, since it is third generation black and white film (I believe). More I look at the images the more I like how they have changed in value, however, I think it just shows another example of how the IP film is quite unstable, as well as, direly expensive. I should mention that when Land was first creating instant film the same thing happened, however, that was 70 years ago, you think you would have learned some better chemistry, no excuses anymore Impossible Project.
I guess I’m just missing Polaroid.
